Awesome Valentine`s Day Ideas You Need To Try
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
While loving someone deeply gives you courage.
- Lao Tzu
Valentine’s day is when this is expressed by grand romantic gestures and loving words. However, some of us are less romantic than others and need help getting ideas how to best express what is in our hearts. If you are the same, you’ve come to the right place. We hope that you’ll find the perfect way to express your love, or at least find some inspiration among these creative ideas.
Romantic breakfast in bed
Ah, the beautiful, but perhaps a bit overrated gesture of bringing breakfast in bed. It is a must-do activity on this special day for the inspiring hopeless romantics. It is also for couples that are too busy to spend the day together. If all you have is the morning, than make the most of it. Surprise your sweetheart with a special Valentine’s day breakfast in bed. Love themed food like heart shaped eggs in the basket, red velvet pancakes, cinnamon-sprinkled coffee, a flower in a vase (ideally her favourite) and a love card. Do all of them. It’s worth all the effort.
Personalised love mugs
Why don’t you express your feelings on a mug? If you love doodling, you can make a fantastic design and give your sweetheart something that will remind her/him every morning of how much they are loved. And even if you aren’t artistically gifted, there are millions of designs to choose from and easily transfer them on a mug.
A common problem all couples face is the lack of time for each other. So, the logical thing to do is plan a getaway trip the first chance you get. And what better occasion for that than V-day on a weekend? Plan a surprise getaway to a nice B&B and have some time just for the two of you, without the everyday chores, distractions, phones (yes, even phones!). Ditch everything for a couple of days and enjoy each other’s company. If that is something that can’t be done for V-day, you can always plan a romantic picnic and spend some time alone with good food and wine.
“Open when” letters
The idea of giving your loved one a bunch of letters to open when he/she feels lonely, bored, stressed, sick, or just plain mad at you is creative, cute, maybe a bit childish, but very, very romantic. And that’s why it makes the perfect gift. Include pictures, drawings, cute notes, perhaps invent a game, and even throw in a dry soup mix for the “open when you’re sick” letter. Just be creative and think of what you would do in a given situation if you were there with your partner. Make as much letters as you want and tie them together with a ribbon.
Love notes in a bottle
Write down love notes for each day of the year. Express your love in short and sweet messages or poem citations. Put them in a nice bottle (or a pretty jar) and tie a ribbon around the top. Attach a card with a beautiful love quote, or something like: “Let’s make everyday a day to remember the love we share.”
Choose a nice photo of the two of you and print it in a size you like. Make your own frame in a matching size and paint it in their favourite color. Or, if you’re not the creative type, you can buy a simple wooden frame and spray paint it. Write your feelings about them on the frame with chalk or a sharpie. Your significant other will love it!
Make a checklist of all the things you both want to do, but never seem to have time for, or end up doing something else instead. Stargazing, romantic walks in the rain…anything you can think of that you’ll both love is perfect. If you don’t mind making long-term plans, you could even plan special dates for each month of the year. Write them down in a calendar and let them become some of the most anticipated days of the year.
“You’re the best” notebook
If you’re a person who loves to express yourself through writing and your partner is the kind of person who loves to read everything you write, this could be the perfect V-day gift. Make them a notebook full of memories, telling them all the reasons why you love them and all the ways they make your life infinitely better.
